July 7 Mask Order
Blossomwood Pool Member(s):
Effective Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 5 pm face coverings will be required in Madison County and some pool members have asked how this order will impact Blossomwood Pool and if masks will be required. There is a list of exceptions to wearing masks and we fall into this exception:
“Private clubs and gatherings not open to the public and where a consistent 6-foot distance between persons from different households is maintained.”
For the full order, please click the link below.
Blossomwood Pool will not require that members or staff wear masks or face coverings. As previously stated, if you come to the pool you are doing so at your own risk. The lifeguards are not enforcing 6-foot social distancing; you are responsible to ensure social distancing for you and your family members. As a reminder guests are limited to 2 individuals per membership, not per individual member. There will be no parties or pavilion rentals of any kind.
Members and staff are encouraged to wear masks or face coverings if they choose to. Please refrain from any public shaming if you decided to wear a mask or not while at the pool. Please continue good hand washing techniques using soap with warm water and the provided hand sanitizer.
If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms per the CDC, we ask that you please do NOT come to the pool:
Fever or chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea
This list does not include all possible symptoms.
The Alabama Department of Public Health advises these actions to prevent the spread of COVID-19:
Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds
Social distance by staying 6 feet away from others
Avoid people who are sick
Stay home if you can; work remotely if possible
Cover your mouth and nose with a face covering when around others
Cover coughs and sneezes
Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces
Monitor your health
Thank you all for your understanding and patience as we move through these ever changing guidelines.
Sincerely,
Blossomwood Pool Board 2020
