July 21 Mask Update
Blossomwood Pool Member(s):
Effective tomorrow, July 21, ALL members entering the pool house for any reason, (entry, exiting, restroom, etc…) will be required to wear a mask/face covering. The exceptions per the mandate are:
Any person six years of age or younger;
Any person with a medical condition or disability that prevents him or her from wearing a facial covering;
We apologize for being late with acting on this, however it takes a little time to get clarification on these ever changing mandates. It is NOT a simple matter.
The State of Alabama put out a statewide mask mandate last week on July 15, 2020. This mandate by the State supersedes any and all local mandates.
The Board has decided that there will be NO more than 3 staff members at anytime inside the pool house. Staff will be required to wear a mask or face covering in the pool house.
We are waiting on additional guidance from the State’s General Council with regards to the full mandate as it relates to private clubs that operates in an open air environment like Blossomwood Pool.
Thank you to everyone for you patience and understanding as we navigate the ever-changing new world. As always, the Board is open to listen to any and all concerns, and we ask that you talk with us before you post on social media about pool operations, it makes things much more complicated and difficult for those that have to make decisions, nothing with Blossomwood Pool is ever simple.
Again, we are actively looking for new Board Members to step up and volunteer for the summer of 2021.
